**UPDATED CLASS INFORMATION! Nov.2 & Nov.9 from 9am - 1pm $65!**Expanding from a quote by an old time woodcarver, "All you need is a pocket knife and a piece of wood," this woodcarving and whittling series introduces simple tools and techniques for getting started in the age-old craft of carving wood. Join Arne Bortnum to try your hand at popular forms such as chip carving, figure carving, and ornamental relief. Wood for carving projects is provided, along with some chip carving knives and gouges, but students are encouraged to bring their own carving tools or purchase their own. Suggestions for tool purchases will be given the first session of class. Bring woodcarving gloves.
