During this yoga experience we will be working through the book Yogic Tools for Recovery by Kyczy Hawk to combine the ancient practice of yoga with the practical tools of 12 step programs. A design for living that can apply to all, this experience is not limited to those in recovery from addiction, but open to anyone who has been affected by addiction, family and friends. Combining the wisdom and art of yoga helps with the tools a 12 step program provides helps one to move towards a place of healing for anyone willing to have an open mind and heart. You may purchase the book or the accompanying workbook but it is not required. Each class (week) we will move through one step until we have a deeper understanding of the steps and complete yoga sequence that will help us on our journey. Ages 14 & up.

My name is Jamie Sterk. I am a business owner, mom of 5, foster mom, dog mom, breast cancer survivor, domestic abuse survivor and a grateful recovering alcoholic of over 11 years. Through my journey in recovery I envisioned and created Wounded Healer Recovery. I provide and teach the alternative spiritual tools of Reiki and yoga to those in recovery and those affected by recovery. The introduction of Reiki and yoga in my life moved me from living in sobriety to living a life in recovery. It is my passion and purpose to share what I have been so freely given to others to light the path for those struggling souls so that they may find the beauty in a life of recovery.
