Start your taekwondo journey! In Korean, 'tae' means to strike or break with foot, 'kwon' means to strike or break with fist, and 'do' means way, method, or path. Thus, taekwondo is translated as "the way of the hand and the foot." Learn the basic techniques and traditions of taekwondo with 5th degree black belt Master Troy Vink while incorporating self-defense, discipline, confidence, and respect for others! Price includes all classes through end of session. Additional cost for optional uniform and belt testing as belt progression takes place, payable to instructor at class. This class is for our new students. Open to ages 7 and up. (age 5-7 with parent present)
Spring 2023 is split into two sessions. Session A starts February 7, 2023 and Session B starts April 6, 2023.Each session includes up to 13 classes. Sign up for each session separately.
Beginners - White Belt 5:45-6:30 pm
Intermediate –Yellow-Green 6:45-7:30 pm
Advanced – Blue+ 7:45-8:30 pm

I started Taekwondo when I was 14 yrs. old and now I am forty____ ... I can let you do the math. I obviously have a love and passion for this! I am a 5th degree black belt and have been teaching for over 25 years now. Over 15 years have now been with Community Education in Sioux Falls. I have the pleasure of teaching students the aspects of Respect, Confidence, and Discipline. I cannot think of many things in my life that has been more gratifying than the companionship and connection that I have through this experience.
