HA, Giggle, snort, chuckle! Laughter really is the BEST medicine. Laughter Yoga is like aerobic exercise and has been described as "internal jogging." This is because there are so many physical benefits to laughter. Laughter can help lower blood pressure, increase blood oxygen levels, and decrease pain. Laughter, of course, also helps with your mood. Did you know that your body cannot tell the difference between real and fake laughter? And that you can actually get the same emotional benefits from fake laughter as you get from laughing at something you find funny? During the last couple years, there has not been much to laugh about. With laughter yoga, you will learn how to use intentional laughter as a way to help increase happiness and your health even when life has you down. The first laughter club was started in India by Dr. Madan Kataria in 1995. Come find out why there are now over 20,000 laughter clubs in more than 110 countries around the world! Bring a friend and get ready to laugh away your sorrow and pain! Ages 16 and up.
