Meets: Thursday from 5:15 PM to 6:15 PM; Friday from 6:30-7:30PM

The best of both worlds with one night of each! Start off your martial arts journey by joining experienced Judo coaches from the only nationally registered Judo club in the state, for an introduction to this cross training sport that will have you utilizing basic techniques such as throws, pins, and falling techniques! Transition to Hapkido with USJA Shodan Ryan Schiebout as you learn to utilize ki or vital energy in self-defense moves such as basic kicking, wrist techniques, punch defenses and falling; to use against other martial art forms! Gain mental discipline, emotional control, and social skills! Families are welcome! Uniform not required for introductory class. Ages 7 and up.</body></html>

Ryan Schiebout


Ryan Schiebout-USJA Shodan-

Ryan began his study of Judo in 2010 at Jae Ho Sim's Martial Arts Academy in Sioux Falls, SD. He is a certified black belt with both USJA and USA Judo and is a nationally certified Judo Coach through USJA!
After receiving his black belt in 2014 he followed his dream and opened his own gym, Sioux Falls Hapkido and Judo Club. He has designed classes for any age student and is able to offer training for any skill level. He has coached his students in both local and regional Judo tournaments and has a nationally ranked student.
Ryan's is passionate about judo and enjoys sharing his knowledge with his students. He believes that anything can be accomplished through hard work and dedication!

Jim Sternick


Jim Sternick-USA Judo Nidan-
Jim is a second degree black belt and certified judo coach who began his career in 1985 at the age of seven! Since that time he has had the opportunity to train at a variety of clubs throughout the United States. He also practiced at dojos in Europe and Japan. Mr. Sternick competed extensively at the national and international level. Highlights include a junior national championship and a gold medal at the 1999 USA Judo National Ladder Tournament! He continued to compete at the senior elite level until 2006 and remains active in master's level tournaments today.

Jim is passionate about sharing his judo knowledge with others and thoroughly enjoys helping students realize their potential in this Olympic sport!
