Tea is the world’s most consumed beverage but how much do you really know about this infusion? Tea Sommelier Pauliina Parris introduces you to the world of artisan single origin loose-leaf tea. You will explore its history, growing regions, how it’s made and how to taste it. You will become familiar with different types of tea, as well as learn about some of the most famous teas of the world. Saturday will be information-dense, with handouts provided for further study at home. Sunday will be experiential, as we’ll do a full tasting of several high-quality teas, as well as explore some food and tea pairings.

An explorer and seeker at heart, I am drawn to ancient wisdom, cultures and healing traditions that enhance our wellbeing and take a holistic view of our human experience. I've moved around and traveled extensively most of my adult life, and spent almost a decade in East Asia. I studied feng shui in California and earned my tea sommelier certification while in Hong Kong. As a recent transplant to Sioux Falls, I hope to share these traditions and build a community of likeminded mindful explorers.
