Mahjong, Mahjongg, Mah Jong, Mah Jongg - However you spell it, mahjong is a seriously fun exercise for your brain! Learn the basics of this brain game using ceramic/plastic tiles. This historically Chinese game has elements of rummy, pattern matching, and card playing. Learn to play the American or Western version of mahjong, for three, four, or five players. Join the clicking of the tiles while exercising your brain and building new friendships! Yes, students can repeat this class for a refresher and fun! $15 due to instructor for The Official Standard Hands Color Print Card of the National Mahjong League. Return students are welcome to join - keep learning and keep your skills sharp! Ages 14 and up.
2024 Spring/Summer class times are 10am-12, 1-3pm, OR 6-8pm

I am a married mother of three grown children and grandmother of three darling girls. I've been playing mahjong for 23 years. I have been in Sioux Falls for 28 years, but my love of games began as a farm girl in Hecla, SD, in the northeast corner of the state. My father's theory was if we were home playing games we wouldn't be running around getting into trouble! His plan didn't always work, but I am thankful for my family and my family of friends that I have met playing mah jongg!
