If you are interested in learning the traditional art of Japanese swordsmanship, this is the perfect class for you. Rooted deep in the past of Japan, our Kenjutsu program is a battlefield-oriented style of sword characterized by its use of footwork, evasion, and speed to overcome an opponent. Our Kenjutsu class will teach you the basics of the Japanese sword through forms called kata, as well partner drills called kumitachi, all led by our expert instructors. Perfect for both beginner and advanced students. Wooden training weapons, called bokken, will be provided during class. Please wear comfortable workout clothing and bring a water bottle. Restricted to students 10 years of age and older.Ages 10 & up
