Richard is a Community Forester with the SD Department of Agriculture-Division of Resource Conservation and Forestry in Sioux Falls. He assists private landowners, communities, organizations, and other government agencies with tree planting and pruning, insect and disease identification and control, tree project design, urban tree management, and the Tree City USA program. Rick has a BS in Natural Resource Management and an AAS in Forest Technology from SUNY College of ESF in Syracuse, NY. He has served as a Service Forester since 1991 and as Community Forester since 2006. He is also a Certified Arborist through the International Society of Aboriculture.
