Join Mary Jo Arboretum staff taking you back to the 1880s when East Sioux Falls developed due to the success of quartzite! This quarried stone, cut into building stones and paving blocks, was shipped to construction projects throughout the country. Experience what school was like in the days of one-room school houses, then hike the area of old East Sioux Falls. Learn about the town and workers of the East Sioux Falls Quarry while exploring the historic site - the small hidden treasures that keeps memories alive!
