As traditional instructional delivery methods continue to transform to meet the diverse needs of all learners, K-12 education systems look toward blended learning formats to meet these needs. This course will expose current high school teachers to the necessary components that make for a successful blended learning classroom. In addition to learning about what a blended classroom looks like, course participants will develop the knowledge and skills to create a blended classroom of their own. More specifically, they will explore and discuss elements of instructional design and instructional strategies that are most effective in a blended course, platforms that may be used to effectively facilitate a blended learning environment, and strategies to identify and provide timely academic support to all learners.
