This course will provide mentorship support for first-year teachers aligned with the Sioux Falls School District mentoring program. First-year teachers will complete mentorship hours with a district-assigned Instructional Coach, including but not limited to, a collaborative kick-off session, 34 hours of mentoring time, and the state summer academy.
THIS COURSE IS RESTRICTED TO SFSD SCHOOL TEACHERS HIRED IN 2023-24 and who qualified for the SFSD mentor program.
Instructors will clarify dates & times plus locations of sessions. In addition to the dates listed, 34 hours of mentoring must occur.
THIS COURSE MAY BE USED FOR THE SD DOE ALTERNATE CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT. If you hold an Alternate Certificate, you must participate in this class for college credit. Speak with your mentor for clarification.
College credit (3) will be available for purchase ($135). College registration information will be sent to participants after class registration is closed.
